Garfield Weston has provided core funding support to Ariel during 2022.  This will underpin our work sharing our evidence based approach to violence prevention education.  Our key targets for the year are:-

  • Theatre practitioners to work face-to-face with at least 120 young people to test and develop effective ways of using forum theatre to delivery violence prevention education with young people at risk of exploitation
  • Development of improved interventions for primary schools in relation to two of our programmes; ‘Grassing or Grooming?’ and ‘Skills to Resist Radicalisation’
  • 100 teachers engaged through our enhance teacher training
  • Evaluation of these enhanced interventions with a view to further refinement and the implementation of improvements to further programmes in 2023 and beyond
  • Share good practice in Lancashire and develop new partnerships in new areas
  • More than 5,000 young people to be engaged in our online programmes
