It may be the holidays but here at Ariel Trust we are still working hard with some amazing young people during our Summer Workshops.
We are currently delivering our ‘Grassing or Grooming?’ programme at both Bright Park and Belvedere Academy. These workshops are different in that we are working with groups of children of a variety of ages. It is really lovely seeing the children work together and support each other. Their enthusiasm is infectious and it is fantastic seeing how they are growing in confidence.
The children are making insightful comments about the characters in our story and are considering the steps that our bystander and victim of grooming can take to help resolve a difficult situation. The children at Belvedere have been using their drama skills to create freeze frames of the story and will be looking at script work next session. Our Bright Park children have been developing their improvisation skills and learning scripts. We are very much looking forward to seeing their final product!
